What to do with foot problems?

Research by ProVoet has shown that there are many people with complaints to the feet. Remarkable is that most people do not take action. The top reason for problems with the feet is work. What are the most common foot problems? And how we can prevent foot problems in the future?

Who is ProVoet?

ProVoet is the Dutch organization for pedicure. Survey among 1.227 Dutch workers 16 years and older, showed that eight out of ten Dutch suffer from foot problems by working. Only a quarter of these people goes to the pedicure. This while most complaints can be easily remedied by a pedicure.

The most common foot problems

Research has shown that the most common foot problems are calluses, foot fungus and ingrown toenails. Nail fungus and foot odor are also foot problems that are common. Foot odor is one of the top problems by men while excess callus is one of the top problems by women.

Only a quarter goes to a pedicure

Despite of all the foot problems only a quarter goes to a pedicure. A pedicure can often reduce foot problems or completely remedy them.

Why aren’t we going to the pedicure?
The research by ProVoet shows the top three reasons why we are not going to the pedicure.

1. We think it’s unnecessary
2. To high costs
3. Unfamiliar with the work of a pedicure

In my opinion a big reason that is not called is shame. Many people are ashamed of their feet. To this people I want to say: please go to a pedicure, a pedicure can really help you.

Foot problems can cause more severe symptoms

What a lot of people do not know is that foot problems can cause more severe symptoms when you do not treat them right. Most of the time foot problems cause neck- and back pain. This is much harder to treat than foot problems.

Take good care of your feet

Acuive pedicure
Take good care of your body. That is the slogan for a lot of people. Please do not forget your feet! Your feet have to carry everything. Besides that: going to the pedicure is a nice present for yourself!

Do you have experience with a pedicure? Because a lot of people refuse to go to the pedicure because they are unfamiliar with it, I thought it is a good idea to share our stories. Maybe we can help this people with their feet problems!
